The Place Where You Tell It

King of the South is ?

So many of us have debated who is the King of the South. Only three names come to mind when you talking about this, T.I.P., Wayne and Ludacris. Beef has arose between Grand Hustle C.E.O. T.I.P. Harris and Distrubing tha Peace Front man Ludacris. Cleary Young Money’ own Lil’ Wayne is deserving of the title as well. So this leaves a question unanswered, who is King of the South? Your thoughts.

  1. I will answer the question with a question or several questions:

Isn’t that a serious title, “king of the south?” What are the qualities of a king of the south? Would it not mean so much more than just a person that has high record sales and such?

    Another question:

Would not such a position be a God-Given one?

    Still another one?

Would it be a matter of being kept a secret who he is?

    Because we do have one.

  2. T.I. is the one and only king of the south. Watch out for Buck though. He’s moving up in the ranks.

  3. Thats a good list, but you can’t forget about nelly. I am not saying if he should or should not be on teh list, im just saying that i think he made it big as well because he also has roles in movies, like T.I. and Luda. My list though personally would be in this order: T.I, Lil Wayne, and then I would have to give it to Luda/Nelly just because I am not a big luda fan. I think he only kills a track when he features on someone elses track, but as a solo artist, i think his cd’s can be a little suspect.

  4. Sorry Marquis, young buck will never be King of the south. I don’t think Nelly was even thought of when I was making the list ever. but hey everyone has there own opinion.

  5. Greely Mae, maybe I should have put specific qualities that separate the King for the rest, but I just want to know based on your opinion.

  7. first of all young kristoff, nelly is midwest.. lets be clear. second, nelly has doesnt anything worth commending since country grammar. and u better respect luda. luda is the man. listen to war with God if u think im playin. release therapy isnt his best album but there are tracks that are worth a listen. young buck never being the king of the south sounds like one of those biased statements from a lil wayne fan. everyone knows wayne and buck aint cool and usually fans go one way or the other. buck is definately honorable mention for king of the south and if u cant see that then getcha head outta waynes booty.. lol. real talk.

  8. Sorry T.C. I got to disagree. I would never mention Young buck when I think of who is king. He just not appealing to me. Lil’ Wayne fan or not Buck doesn’t have lyrics. Now, If you want to give honorable mention it would have to go to Young Jeezy hands down.
